Where ancient terroir meets modern elegance
Signature Expressions
Our Heritage
Since 1987, the Moreau family has tended their estate in Burgundy's most coveted hillsides. What began as a single hectare of Pinot Noir has grown into a domain of twenty estates — each plot chosen with unwavering patience and respect for the ancient soils.
Élan Noir is not merely wine. It is memory distilled — every bottle a testament to the seasons, the patience of our vines, and the artistry of three generations.

Handcrafted Excellence
Every bottle, a chapter of our story
The Moreau Family
Three generations. One unwavering commitment to excellence. This is not just winemaking — it is a way of life.
Our Story
In the autumn of 1987, Henri Moreau stood at the edge of his newly purchased hillside in the Côte de Nuits and made a promise — that every vine planted here would be tended with the patience of a lifetime. He had no grand ambition for empire, only for truth in a glass.
His daughter, Camille, inherited not just the domain, but his philosophy. Under her guidance, Élan Noir found its voice — restrained, precise, unforgettable. Today, her son Julien continues the legacy with quiet conviction.
"The vine does not lie. It tells you everything about the year, the soil, the sun. Our only task is to listen."
— Henri Moreau, Founder
Our Craft
We harvest by hand at dawn, when the fruit is cool and the sugars are at their most expressive. Each cluster is sorted twice — once in the vineyard, once at the table — before entering the cellar.
Our reds undergo extended cold maceration before fermentation in open-top wooden vats. We age only in French oak from the Allier forest, never more than 30% new, to preserve the purity of our terroir.

Our Heritage
Burgundy's genius is in its granular specificity — a single road can separate two entirely different wines. Our plots span three appellations, each with its own personality, its own story.
We believe in minimum intervention. We do not chase scores or trends. We make wines that we believe in, that speak honestly of their origins, and that reward those who give them their attention.
What We Stand For
We never rush the vine, the barrel, or the bottle. Excellence demands time, and time demands trust.
We believe place is everything. Our wines are a conversation between our soils, our climate, and our hands.
No manipulation, no shortcuts. Only honest winemaking that honors what the land has given us.
